Space week in Stiperstones 🚀

This week it has been Space Week!

Throughout the week, the children have enjoyed participating in activities extending their knowledge about space.

On Wednesday, they  carried out an investigation called Moon Craters. The children spent the day investigating which moon soil made the greatest crater when a golf ball was dropped from various heights into it.

The focus for space week this year was- how do satellites improve life on Earth?
On Friday afternoon, Stiperstones were set the challenge of building a satellite out of marshmallows and spaghetti. They then had to carry out research to answer the question- how do satellites improve life on Earth?
