This week had been Space week, and alongside our Topic Moon Zoom, we have been carrying out lots of space related activities.
In English we have been completing our recount based on the spaceship crash landing. Following this, we have edited part of our recounts to improve them. In maths we have started our addition and subtraction unit by revisiting number bonds to 10 and 20. In Topic we have learnt about the planets in our solar system and created a whole class mnemonic to remember the order. We also looked at the history of space travel by creating a time line. In Science we investigated materials in order to find the most suitable material for a space mask (see spreads post). In are we learnt about the Torah Scroll and the children write their own message on their own Torah Scroll. In PE we learnt various ways of moving round, both slowly and quickly.
Well done to Basel who is Lawley’s Star of the Week for his fantastic improvement in his handwriting, his determination in class and his brilliant efforts every day! Also well done to Sienna and Indi who received Dojo certificates for reaching 50 points. If you have not registered for class dojo, please do so ASAP.
