Being a Church School

Holy Trinity is a church school committed to the enjoyment and journey of learning and to the spiritual, moral, educational and social development of our children. This is done within our church school ethos of Christian belief and our values of Respect, Belief and Courage.
We have strong links with our parish church of Holy Trinity.

Reverend Paul Darlington and members of the church team lead weekly acts of worship in school. Children also attend Connect Club run by the church team and contribute to assemblies and worship.

As a school we attend services at the church to celebrate Harvest, Christmas and Easter as well as a special leaver’s service for our Year Six pupils where they are presented with Bibles as a leaving gift .As part of our RE lessons we also visit the church to learn about the building and Christian worship. We have areas in each classroom and around school which reflect our Christian Values. The children are encouraged to explore Christianity in many ways, for example Year 6 children write prayers for our weekly Celebration Assembly which are translated into other languages of children in school and read out by the pupils. We also respect and learn about the other faiths in our school and ensure that everyone is included.
